Woodridge Congregational United Church of Christ

An Open and Affirming Congregation

A Caring and Welcoming Community

"No Matter Who You Are Or Where You Are on Life's Journey, You are Welcome Here!"

There are many ways to serve God and make use of your talents, gifts and interests at Woodridge.

For those who love to make music, Woodridge has an Adult Choir and both Beginner and Advanced Hand Chimes choirs that rehearse weekly (Sept. - May) and participate in Sunday services throughout the year. The Woodridge Orchestra rehearses as needed and performs mainly during the Christmas Season.

If you are already a member of Woodridge Church, please consider joining one of our committees to assist in strengthening and shaping our congregation: Service, Membership & Fellowship, Christian Education, Worship, or Stewardship, Buildings and Grounds.
For those who feel called to serve in the wider community, Woodridge works closely with the Interfaith Food Pantry and the Trinity Soup Kitchen in Providence. During the year the Service Committee also coordinates special mission projects, especially during the holidays.

The Christian Education Committee works with all age groups of the church, including Sunday School students and Confirmation candidates.  This group also assists those interested in becoming members of the Woodridge community.

For those who love to cook, prepare feasts, eat and plan fellowship opportunities, Woodridge has a "Almost May" breakfast, Irish & Italian supper, and other festivities during the year. Our annual Fall Festival or bazaar, held in November, is a church-wide endeavor where everyone pitches in with their talents and time.

The Worship Committee assists with planning all aspects of Sunday and Holiday services including music, ushers, liturgists, communion, and preparing and decorating the church.

If you are a handyman or handywoman, the Stewardship, Buildings and Grounds Committee cares for and has custody of the church properties, supervises custodial services, plans capital improvements and recommends building projects.

Each one of our members has special talents and the entire Woodridge community benefits through sharing those with one another!
The Service Committee continues to collect food for the Interfaith Food Ministry. Contributions may be left in the Narthex.
Volunteers help at the Ministry each 2nd Saturday morning.
