Faith Formation at Woodridge
Vibrant and lifelong faith is nurtured and cultivated in our family and home lives. At Woodridge, we believe that parenting is a sacred practice of faith and believe that the church is called to love and care for all of God’s children. All children are wise, sacred, and full members of the body of Christ.
At Woodridge Congregational Church, we partner with our families to create a supportive and brave community devoted to loving and serving our children, youth, and families. From our worship services, to our faith formation programming, to our mission outreach, we are intentional about child and family participation and inclusion. Together we explore the history, stories, and traditions of our timeless faith and participate in Jesus’ ministries of justice and peace.
After the message, children go down to the Sunday school area for their lesson. This year we are using the Feasting on the Word curriculum. Lessons intentionally connect worship and faith formation by exploring scripture and stories in age-appropriate ways through questions and activities.
